Many of my clients are looking for direction in terms of their career, business or general life planning. Often they are not clear about their core strengths and wonder why they find it so difficult to apply strategies that were successful for others.
The answer is that we are all different, and our strategies need to reflect this. For example, if I wanted to become an Anthony Robbins-type star coach who holds events in front of thousands of people, I could model him and follow all the steps that made him successful. However, I would be bound to fail because I am an introvert by nature.
Although I can give a decent public speech and quite enjoy it too, being on stage all the time would be a drain on my resources. I would be out of my natural “flow”. By “flow” I mean the path of least resistance, where you add the most value and get the most done.
Understanding what we need to do to be in flow, is key to achieving any degree of success, and I am not just talking about financial success. If we are in flow, life becomes inspiring and we are much more likely to be successful. If we are out of flow, life will be a struggle. We are far more likely to fail and burn out.
For this reason, I have teamed up with Wealth Dynamics to offer their personality test. It will tell you what you need to do to be in your most productive state. For example, it was useful for me to understand that I am an Accumulator. Although I can be on a stage like a Star and invent like a Creator, those are not my core strengths. I am at my best when collecting gold nuggets of wisdom, tools and processes from others, and then structuring, re-packaging and multiplying them. I then need a good Supporter on my side for marketing and a Mechanic to create systems.
